Today I'm wearing two new shades, Beauty Never Fails (a black base with gold and olive green coloured flecks) and the revamped version of Holy Grail (a mesmerizing gold coloured foil). I wanted to combine these two sparkly polishes on my nails and I think it turned out really well! The formula of Beauty Never Fails and Holy Grail is excellent; both polishes are easy to apply in two coats. I used tape to create the "V" shapes.<br /><br />a england nail polishes are available on the <a href="http://www.a-england.co.uk/">a england website</a>.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching!</div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">*The product(s) in this post was/were sent to me for reviewing purposes.</span></div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">For more information, check out my <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/p/disclosure-policy.html">Disclosure Policy</a>.</span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-91368735401228533742012-11-10T06:51:00.000-08:002012-11-28T03:06:05.140-08:00Flash Blacked Agra<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/HeromeAgraLaylaFlashBlack.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Herome Agra + Layla Flash Black + Bundle Monster BM-205" border="0" height="572" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/HeromeAgraLaylaFlashBlack.jpg" width="620" /></a></div>The base colour I used for today's mani is Agra from Herôme. Agra is a dark greyish green coloured polish with a creme finish. Beautiful colour, it applies nicely in two coats. Now I finally got my hands on a couple of Layla Hologram Effect polishes, woohoo! Thanks for the tip, <a href="http://willpaintnailsforfood.tumblr.com/">Meghan</a>! ^_^ I was curious if these awesome prismatic polishes would work as stamping polishes. Well, they do. And it looks great! Everyone should try stamping with a prismatic polish some time, the effect is really mesmerizing. I used plate BM-205 and Layla - Flash Black to create the colourful pattern.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/HeromeAgraLaylaFlashBlackclose-up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Herome Agra + Layla Flash Black + Bundle Monster BM-205" border="0" height="442" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/HeromeAgraLaylaFlashBlackclose-up.jpg" width="620" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">This picture is a bit overexposed, but I love how you can see the rainbow sparkles from Flash Black. ♥</td></tr></tbody></table><div style="text-align: center;"><br />Thanks for watching and enjoy your weekend!</div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-5330622030314910172012-11-06T05:10:00.000-08:002012-11-28T03:06:05.147-08:00Zoya - Shivon<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBM-314.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314" border="0" height="610" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBM-314.jpg" width="620" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBundleMonsterBM-3142.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" alt="Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314" height="644" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBundleMonsterBM-3142.jpg" width="620" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Shivon is one of the first polishes I ordered online; this means it's one of my oldest nail polishes. Call me crazy, but I never felt like I hád to try it. Till today! Isn't it beautiful? The gold shimmer in this berry/burgundy shade is so intense.. it blew my mind. The formula was good. Two coats looked ok, but I ended up applying three to intensify the base colour. I added the lovely swirly stamp with Bundle Monster plate BM-314 and China Glaze - 2030.</div></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBM-314close-up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Zoya Shivon + Bundle Monster BM-314 (close-up)" border="0" height="388" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ZoyaShivonBM-314close-up.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for watching!</div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-11839148386818287502012-10-31T07:26:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.156-08:00Rainbow Sprinkled Free Hugs<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/EssenceFreeHugsJENsationsRainbowSprinkles.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Essence Free Hugs + JENsations Rainbow Sprinkles" border="0" height="594" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/EssenceFreeHugsJENsationsRainbowSprinkles.jpg" width="620" /></a></div>I can't tell you how much I've missed my polished nails and blogging about it! I love it so much, look how cheery and colourful! For this mani I dabbed the glitter only on the tips. The base colour I'm wearing is Free Hugs from Essence; I had to use three coats to get an even surface. Free Hugs has a deeper pink tone in real life.<br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/EssenceFreeHugsJENsationsRainbowSprinklesclose-up.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" alt="Essence Free Hugs + JENsations Rainbow Sprinkles (close-up)" height="460" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/EssenceFreeHugsJENsationsRainbowSprinklesclose-up.jpg" width="620" /></a></div>You can find Rainbow Sprinkles in <a href="http://www.etsy.com/shop/JENsations">Jen's Etsy shop</a> for $8,00 (10 ml).</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching!</div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-42963612330776789202012-10-15T04:11:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.163-08:00Taking a Break + a england Tess D'Urbervilles<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/aenglandTessDUrbervillesbottle.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="a england Tess D'Urbervilles (bottle)" border="0" height="464" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/aenglandTessDUrbervillesbottle.jpg" width="610" /></a></div>I hoped to post earlier, but at the moment I have a bad case of <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/2010/10/eczema-sucks.html">dyshidrotic eczema</a> on most of my fingers. I can wear nail polish, but using nail polish remover hurts like hell and worsens the eczema. So I have to take a little break from polishing (and thus posting, <i>bluh</i>). Hope to be back soon of course! I have a lot of inspiration and beautiful nail polishes to show you. The last polish I wore was Tess D'Urbervilles, one of a england's <a href="http://a-england.co.uk/12-gothic-beauties/">Gothic Beauties</a>. I love wearing black and this is black with something extra: beautiful emerald flecks. Absolutely amazing! Love the formula, too. I couldn't have chosen a better polish, it's an amazing colour and the wear time was really great (I took the above picture after nine (!) days). In the background you can see a folding screen from one of the apartments we rented with Audrey Hepburns face on it. How's that for a coincidence!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">p.s. I was wearing this pink gradient mani when I decided to make a cake for my husband (last Friday we celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary!). Well, why not try to make it a gradient cake? It's not an exact match to the nails (I only had red food colouring), but I like it muchos! ^^ For the nails I used three coats of Barry M - Bright Pink and Gamax - Rosa Shocking to make the gradient. Then I added one layer of JENsations - <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/104029783/custom-nail-polish-be-my-valentine-hot">Be My Valentine</a>. A great glitter topper with hot pink and light pink hexes and light pink hearts. I love it! At first I stamped this design with China Glaze - 2030 over three coats of Number One Nemesis from OPI (see picture below). I'm not crazy about the result, at most angles the paisley pattern wasn't very noticeable because of the sparkly base colour. So today I removed it and applied Number One Nemesis again with Essie - School of Hard Rocks on some accent nails. This time I used the paisley pattern only on the accent nails. Aah, much better! </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/OPINumberOneNemesisBundleMonsterbm-315andChinaGlaze2030.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="OPI Number One Nemesis + Bundle Monster plate bm-315 and China Glaze 2030" border="0" height="476" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/OPINumberOneNemesisBundleMonsterbm-315andChinaGlaze2030.jpg" width="500" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching! :h</div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-42827829774203734462012-08-20T05:40:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.442-08:00Pupa - Holographic Denim Blue<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographicDenimBlue.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pupa Holographic Denim Blue" border="0" height="574" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographicDenimBlue.jpg" width="610" /></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographicDenimBlue2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Pupa Holographic Denim Blue" border="0" height="620" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographicDenimBlue2.jpg" width="610" /></a></div>At the moment I have another gorgeous shade from Pupa's Holographic collection on my nails. This is Holographic Denim Blue, a medium blue polish with prismatic particles. The prismatic effect is not as intense as the effect of the other two I own from this collection, but it's still super gorgeous. A special base coat like Nfu Oh's Aqua Base really helps intensifying the prismatic effect. The formula was ok, I used two coats, no top coat.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographiccollage.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img alt="Pupa Holographic collage" border="0" height="205" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/PupaHolographiccollage.jpg" width="615" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">from left to right: <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/2012/06/pupa-holographic-strawberry.html">Holographic Strawberry</a>, <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/2012/07/pupa-holographic-light-green.html">Holographic Light Green</a> & Holographic Denim Blue</td></tr></tbody></table><br /><div style="text-align: center;">Thanks for watching! :)</div></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-39910693338630252882012-08-15T06:26:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.480-08:00Silver<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeMillenniumKonadm59silverrhinestones.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="China Glaze Millennium + Konad m59 + silver rhinestones" border="0" height="596" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeMillenniumKonadm59silverrhinestones.jpg" width="610" /></a></div>I don't have the words to express how much I love Millennium from China Glaze. This metallic silver wonder is one of my most used polishes. After applying two coats I stamped a bow from Konad plate m59 with Konad Special Nail Polish in White. Then I added a couple of <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/sizes-round-rhinestone-nail-glitter-decoration-p-2447.html">silver rhinestones</a> from Born Pretty Store. I really like the result, but after a while I lost a couple rhinestones. So I repainted my ring finger nail and added two coats of B.O #71, a <a href="http://www.bornprettystore.com/glitter-silver-color-nail-polish-enamel-paint-p-198.html">silver glitter polish</a> (also from Born Pretty Store). The formula is quite thick and I noticed a lot of bubbles after applying it, this one really needs some thinner. But other than that, nice polish. I think it looks great over Millennium!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeMillenniumBornPrettyStoreglitterpolishBO71.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="China Glaze Millennium + Born Pretty Store glitter polish B.O #71" border="0" height="472" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeMillenniumBornPrettyStoreglitterpolishBO71.jpg" width="500" /></a></div>Don't forget to enter my <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/2012/08/giveaway-prize-1-born-pretty-store-25.html">Born Pretty Store giveaway</a>, you can win a $25 gift card!</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching!</div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">*The product(s) in this post was/were sent to me for reviewing purposes.</span></div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">For more information, check out my <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/p/disclosure-policy.html">Disclosure Policy</a>.</span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-18308050330916704062012-08-11T07:24:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.518-08:00Green Gradient with JENsations - Green With Envy<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/greengradientwithCatriceRunForestRunandChinaGlazeHolly-DayJENsationsGreenWithEnvy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="Green Gradient Nails with Catrice Run Forest Run and China Glaze Holly-Day + JENsations Green With Envy" border="0" height="602" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/greengradientwithCatriceRunForestRunandChinaGlazeHolly-DayJENsationsGreenWithEnvy.jpg" width="610" /></a></div>This is a nice mani for green lovers (like me!). I started with two coats of Catrice - Run Forest Run! (version 2) and I made a subtle gradient with Holly-Day from China Glaze. Then I used one of Jen's franken polish creations, <a href="http://www.etsy.com/listing/104029929/custom-nail-polish-green-with-envy-dark">Green With Envy</a>. Jen's description: "Green With Envy is made with a 3-free base and small matte dark & light green hexagon glitter". I wouldn't call the glitter pieces matte, but they're not super reflective either (they remind me of the hexes in OPI - Pirouette M<span style="font-family: inherit;">y Whistle). At first I thought this polish had a black base with multi-coloured shimmer, but no.. Dark Horse's clear base is filled with small black glitter and rainbow sparkles. How amazing is that? I prefer layering glitter polishes over a non-glitter polish (makes the removal easier), so I used two coats of Dark Horse over China Glaze - Awaken. Dark Horse applies easily and dries gritty and kinda matte (second picture). You'll need at least two layers of top coat for a smooth and glossy finish. Normally I would go for smooth nails, but I'm surprised by how much I like this glittery polish without top coat!</span></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/CirqueDarkHorsenailwheel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" alt="Cirque Dark Horse (nail wheel) height="530" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/CirqueDarkHorsenailwheel.jpg" width="610" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">left: three coats of Dark Horse, right: one coat over a white creme</td></tr></tbody></table></div><div style="text-align: center;"><br /></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Thanks for watching!</div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">*The product(s) in this post was/were sent to me for reviewing purposes.</span></div><div style="text-align: right;"><span style="font-size: x-small;">For more information, check out my <a href="http://the-polished-perfectionist.blogspot.nl/p/disclosure-policy.html">Disclosure Policy</a>.</span></div>Anonymoushttp://www.blogger.com/profile/14268599456718047977noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1488527754382665341.post-56033793280432035822012-07-23T07:05:00.000-07:002012-11-28T03:06:05.760-08:00Blinding Nails<div style="text-align: justify;"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeFlipFlopFantasySpeciallitaHefesto.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img alt="China Glaze Flip Flop Fantasy + Speciallita Hefesto" border="0" height="556" src="http://i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g436/AmyGraceTPP/ChinaGlazeFlipFlopFantasySpeciallitaHefesto.jpg" width="610" /></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><span style="background-color: white;">It looks like Summer finally started in The Netherlands, woohoo!
